Ok, so I'm on a little bit of an information overload. Thankfully, I have decompressed a little and can share a little of what's going on...Ask and Ye Shall Receive!
#1- This morning...I had a job interview with a Christian school here in Maryland but it's about an hour away. Can I really commute that far EVERY day? I went anyway praying and seeking what God has. It was a small school and the position was for a special ed teacher with about 11 kids who would rotate throughout the day. A lot of their work would be done on the computer and small group study. Overall, it went well and I think that the job would be an interesting one.
#2- After lunch...I got a phone call from a school in Tennessee (a sister school of where my friend, Amanda, works). They want to set up an interview! They're doing interviews on July 1, so we scheduled a phone interview and we'll take it from there. (BTW- if I took this job, I'd have to be there by July 30!) This job would be WAY out of my comfort zone, but it could be an amazing learning experience! It's an alternative school for kids with learning issues and who have been kicked out of public school...yeah, you could say it's out of my comfort zone!
#3- After that phone call...I got a phone call from a my friend Allison's brother and he's starting a brand new Christian elementary school in Atlanta, GA. What a challenge he has in front of him! But, he has great ideas and he has a great plan to implement his ideas. He is talking about having SMARTboards in every classroom and having a huge technology influence. Doing all of this and keeping the school involved in the community creates a great vision. I would be teaching multiple grades-prob 4th and 5th, so we'll see.
#4- I have an interview on July 8 for Carroll County schools here in MD. It's a Special Ed. position, so who knows what exactly that could involve. (So, I was complaining to my mom that this interview is so late, and she had to remind me...It's GOD's timing and at least I'm having one! I love her!) It's timing may be perfect :)
So, after sending out who knows how many (I lost count!) applications, I'm seeing some fruit coming from them. The Lord knows if the perfect job is on this list or not, so please pray that I will know exactly where He has me to be. Thanks for all of your encouraging words!
