I'm so excited to be able to spend Father's day with my dad again this year! I don't really know how it's worked out to spend this special holiday with my dad for the last several years, but I'm so thankful it has! Even living so far apart (for those of you who don't know, my parents live in MI), we've gotten to spend Father's Day together for the last 3 years, maybe more?! So, this weekend, I'm heading to PA to spend the week with my family as we wrap up everything at Mommom's house and finally settle on it. It will probably be a crazy and stressful week, but I need to keep in mind to enjoy the time with our crazy family.
But, anyways, back to my dad...he's such a great dad! I'm so thankful for all the things he's taught me. He's always wanted me to be independent and be able to do things on my own, even though, now he regrets that sometimes :) Like when I want to move to another state! It's been so nice seeing him (and my mom!) so much this year and it's been great to see him grow in the Lord and try to be the best dad he can be! I remember when I was younger and we used to go see Shakespeare plays together in the summer- I'm sure that it wasn't the top thing on his priority list, but he went because I wanted to go and it was a special time with just us! I love him and will enjoy spending the day with him! Love you, DAD!
