Vacation Part 2: Nashville

After a few days we left Gatlinburg, and headed west to Nashville. I've been to Nashville several times, but it was Dale's very first visit! We were totally tourists with our wonderful tour guide (and my best friend!) Amanda!! We had such a good time, even though it was like a million degrees while we were there, and it was so hard to leave after just a few days.

We went boating and tubing on Amanda's fabulous new boat!!!

Of course Amanda didn't think she needed hands...until her mom started driving crazy!

A great way to celebrate my 31st birthday...can I really be that old!?!?

Our great driver :)
We bought the Nashville All Access Passes which were a great investment- for $50 we got admission to 5 different attractions and they gave us lots of options, so we were VERY busy!

The birthday cake Amanda made :) It was DEliciOUS!!!

We got to have lunch with Allison and her awesome hubby! It was so good to see her again!

Our boat ride INside the Opryland Hotel! It was absolutely beautiful and so relaxing :)

1 of the waterfalls inside the hotel

The tallest waterfall in the hotel, we could walk behind it and look out at everyone in the restaurant.

Downtown Nashville

On our Grand Ole Opry Backstage Tour! It was 1 of our favorite things of the trip.

The Original floor from the Ryman Auditorium that lots of famous Opry musicians have stood on. It was saved after the Nashville flood and replaced with the Opry was rebuilt after the flood.

We visited the store! Sort of a let down, but still interesting.

No we didn't meet Mike or Frank...it was some young guy driving it :(

After dinner at Margaritaville...Dale was tired of walking and needed a little rest ;)
If you ever get to go to Nashville, do it!!! I'm a little biased because I get to see my best friend but it is a fun place to visit and there's always something to do!
