Good Friday and Easter 2012

This year we went to our Church's Good Friday service and it was great!!! We are so glad we went! It was full of music and so encouraging! I just kept thinking that we don't have to be sad that Christ died...SUNDAY came and HE ROSE from the dead! We serve a LIVING GOD!

I just keep thinking what were people thinking when this was all happening. Did they know of the prophecies that Christ was fulfilling? Did they know that the darkness was caused by OUR sins? Did they know that Christ would be alive come Sunday? Was there a priest in the temple when the veil was torn FROM the TOP! It simply amazes me that Jesus' siblings weren't even at the crucifixion...seems like that would have been kind of important! How could Mary, His mother, stand there and watch this happen? Did she try to do anything to stop it, or did she know this was the way it had to be?

I also was thinking, how thankful I am that Christ died for EVERYONE! There isn't anyone He won't accept! Any one who comes to Him and believes CAN be saved! We have experienced truly amazing grace...we have received SOOO many things we don't deserve! God's free gift of salvation is awe-inspiring...Would I be willing to give up my 1 and only son??? TRULY AMAZING and worthy of our praise!
