Valentine's Day

This year, Dale and I celebrated our first Valentine's Day together and it was fabulous! He made it a "Valentine's Day Extravaganza" all weekend surprising me with something every night after I got home from work...he started with beautiful roses, made me brownies one night, a new CD one night and then finally a cute heart picture frame and some candy. He did great! Bailey (his little dog) even gave me a cute card he had "signed" with his paws :) We went out to eat at PF Changs, which we were able to make reservations at so NO LINE! I highly recommend it! It was a great weekend except for having to work :( Oh, well, the Cracker Barrel days are numbered so I guess I can deal with it a little longer...

As we celebrated though, I couldn't help but think about last Valentine's Day and all that has happened since then...I had planned on going to Alabama to see my then fiance, Logan, but the snow had messed up all travel plans and I never made it to Alabama. Instead I stayed with my friend Rachel and her parents and enjoyed the time with them and all the snow! Shortly after that, we ended our relationship and everything began to spin out of control...or at least MY control- God was always in control! A fact that I am SO thankful for- God is good and what I have seen Him do in the last few months has completely amazed me. The fact that every bill has been paid with money left over still amazes me. The fact that God brought me this amazing man in Dale is still a little unbelievable too. All the wedding plans have gone so smoothly and I'm so thankful that Dale and I are able to make decisions quickly and work together so well! God is definitely in control! He always has a plan and His ways are so much better than ours!

This month I will be moving into Dale's parents' apartment which will save us lots of money! It's just another way the Lord has provided for us! I will be living there until we get married for almost free! God is good! This way we will be able to pay for our honeymoon and not spend all of Dale's savings :)

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day with the special people in your life! I love each of you!
