2011...could it really be true??? Where did 2010 go? It was quite a year! It definitely did not go as I planned, but I did learn A LOT!
Among the things I learned is the fact that God does not make a mistake, instead He faithfully provides for and takes care of His precious children. I recently watched an interview that Steven Curtis Chapman gave after his daughter died, and he said that through this all, he's truly learned all the promises he knew in his head were now true in his heart. Those verses and promises he'd memorized in his head were now moved into his heart and he understood them so much bettter. I feel the same way! I've learned verses and I could tell you God's promises, but it wasn't until I went through some of these circumstances this past year that I truly LEARNED them and knew what they meant. I know that God has a purpose in it all and I know that God provides because every single bill has gotten paid this year! God is so good!!! I can't even believe how God has worked out some of these things, but He has and it's all part of His perfect plan for me.
It's so interesting how God brought me here to Maryland and in my mind it was temporary, only for a year...but it looks like God had other plans. I don't think I'll be going anywhere anytime soon! It's feeling more like home that's for sure and it's so nice that most of my family is only a few hours away. Now, we just need to get my parents out here ;)
God is good and faithful and loves us in amazing ways...I'm so thankful I serve Him and I am so excited to see what this new year of 2011 has in store...it will be great because "This IS the day [and year] the LORD has made, I WILL rejoice and be glad in it."
