Rest and Relaxation...

Between my 4 (now down to 3) jobs, I have not had too much time to rest and relax, but Dale insisted I take today off and do nothing work related! What a great man :) So, here I am resting and relaxing and still in my PJs! LOVE IT! I haven't done this in awhile!

Halloween weekend, Dale and I were supposed to go to Michigan for a long weekend so he could meet the parents, but alas, his school scheduled conferences for Monday night and our plan for a long weekend in Michigan was thwarted! So instead we spent the weekend together doing some fun local things...

We took a walk through the woods and enjoyed the beautiful fall colors at Cunningham Falls.

We had a little Halloween party for all of his family and took his nieces and nephew trick or treating.

This is his cute little house, that he loves to decorate for holidays by the way!

Ordinarily, I'm not a big Halloween fan, but these kids are so stinkin' cute, how could we resist!

We even carved our first little pumpkin...of course it had to be football related...thankfully we didn't try the Redskins logo- it would have been crazy hard!
And then on Election Day, we voted and headed up to Gettysburg!

And took the bus tour of the battlefield. If we did it again, though, we would not do the bus tour, the car tour with CD sounds like a better option, so we could actually stop along the way and see the things we wanted to in more detail.

The bus did stop at the top of Little Round Top and we got to get out and look around. We were both amazed by the shear amount of space this battle took up, as well as the fact that they would just line up and shoot at each other. Who decided that was a good idea? It seems to me that someone would have thought about another way.

It was really nice to enjoy some time off and enjoy the beautiful fall weather before winter sets in. It's definitely coming!
