Anniversaries

Today is the anniversary of a very SAD day... it's been 4 months since my Mommom passed away. I am VERY thankful though for the additional time this summer that I was able to enjoy being with her. Once again God knew best! He allowed me to move north for this year where I could live with Mommom for the summer and share some very special times with her. I am truly thankful for the special relationship I had with her and I am so grateful to the Lord that she did not suffer for long and that I was able to say good-bye to her a few days before she passed away. I miss her, but am so thankful that she is not suffering here on this earth!

Today is also the anniversary of a GREAT day...it's been 8 months since I started dating my wonderful FIANCE. We spent 2 months talking on the phone and then several days together once school got out last year. During my visit, I actually came up north to interview at 2 schools and visit Mommom- who ever knew back then that we would be engaged before our 8 month dating anniversary. Logan is so funny because he keeps track of these things too- and actually has to remind me of these dates sometimes- he's such a romantic and it's so sweet :) In just a few days, we will be engaged for 1 month. God is certainly good and I am so thankful that I had my single years in Miami and now have a wonderful man that will eventually be my husband. In college, I had my life planned out- Graduate, get married, teach for awhile, have kids, etc- you know the typical Christian college mentality. But, God had different plans, and I know that I really would not change these last few years for anything. Of course there were hard days but I had to rely on His promises- that He has a great plan to prosper me and that He will not withhold good from me! This morning I was again reminded in our pastor's sermon that His timing is Perfect!!
